Let’s Get Galactic

If There Has Ever Been A Time For Us To Expand Our Minds, It's Now.
Following on from my previous piece about ritual and ceremony, we will understand a time when humans lived with the sky. The moon told us when to rest, when to plant, when to lie low. The planets were like a calendar - not a belief system.
Then we decided we knew better.
Snore.
We swapped cycles for schedules, instincts for notifications, and now most of us are blooming confused why we feel shattered, wired, emotional, inspired, flat, or all of the above by Wednesdays hump day.
Our next chapter is calling us to change that. We are not meant to operate like machines, or by them.

Galactic… What’s That?
When I say galactic, I mean zooming out a bit and noticing that:
Your energy is not consistent
Your emotions are not random
Your creativity does not run on command
And sometimes it really is not “just you”
This is the difference between thinking something is wrong with you and realising something is happening around you.
Please Don’t Ignore The Moon
For years I noticed there were certain weeks where I felt emotional, inward, easily overwhelmed, or strangely unmotivated. I would do what most of us do. Try harder. Push through. Wonder why I was suddenly terrible at life.
Then I understood how important lunar activity was. I mean…. Look at her! How could we have been so ignorant?!
More recently, people like Kirsty Gallagher has thankfully and gracefully brought this to the masses.
Some weeks are simply not built for clarity or big decisions. Some are brilliant for ideas but awful for follow-through. Some are perfect for finishing things, not starting them. Once I stopped fighting that and worked with it, life got a lot less dramatic.
In 2026, knowing the lunar cycle ahead will feel less “woo” and more like knowing your phone battery is low. You do not panic. You just act accordingly.
Game changer.
The Planets Don’t Predict. They Prepare

Planetary stuff is not woo woo either. It’s about understanding the weather.
I have launched things at moments that looked perfect on paper and then wondered why everything felt like wading through treacle. I have also delayed things out of fear, only to realise later it would have flowed beautifully if I had trusted the timing.
Now?
I treat planetary shifts like context, and sit with the knowing my timing is on point.
Sometimes the energy is messy. Sometimes it is slow. Sometimes it is brilliant but volatile. Knowing that means I plan with a bit more compassion, a bit less self-blame and a huge dollop of trust.
A Good Bit Of Prep Beats Reaction - Every Day Of the Week
Once you stop assuming every wobble is personal, you get soooooo much calmer. Instead of: “What is wrong with me?” You start asking: “What kind of moment is this, and how do I want to move through it?”
That might mean fewer plans around intense weeks. More rest before emotionally charged periods. Not making life-altering decisions when everything feels foggy… not rocket science eh?
Your Ritual - Your Way
When I say ritual, I don’t necessarily mean candles and ceremonies, unless that’s a bit of you… I mean small, human anchors.
Things like:
Checking in with yourself at the start of the month
Letting yourself properly finish things instead of dragging them forever
Having a few non-negotiables that calm your nervous system
Creating pauses on purpose
Ritual is how we digest change without burning out.
Creativity Has Its Own Schedule (Annoying and True)
Ideas don’t arrive upon your demand. They turn up when they are good and ready. Usually when we stop forcing or needing them!
Some weeks I write easily. Other weeks everything feels dull and awkward. Once I stopped treating that as failure and started treating it as a phase, creativity became less stressful and far more reliable.
You can’t rush insight. You can only make space for it.
So What Does Being More Galactic Actually Look Like?
Honestly, I don’t think there’s a one size fits all answer to that. You gotta work it out for yourself.
We just need a slightly wider lens on what we think we know. :)
In a world full of turmoil, turbulence and distrust…we need to be regulated, aware, and present. The more we understand the bigger stuff we are part of, the less we punish ourselves.
And that my loves….will change everything.
