There is an old proverb that says, “Educate a woman, and you educate a generation.”Let’s take a moment to honour the deep truth of this age-old saying. Let’s break that down.

Malala Yousafzai, a young girl from Pakistan, simply wanted to go to school, something many of us take for granted.


When the Taliban forbade girls from receiving an education, Malala spoke out bravely and publicly. She survived an assassination attempt at 15 and went on to become a global symbol for the right to education.

Her voice didn’t just secure her education; it ignited a global movement and empowered millions of girls worldwide to demand their right to learn. She changed laws, policies, and, most importantly, the dreams of countless young women who saw themselves reflected in her courage.
