    Awareness

A wide open, spacious yet succinct word. A possible and hopeful notion. A gargantuan message. If you were aware..things would’ve always been different. Dig deep. Make yourself aware. Of it all. #awareness #Brand #lifeskills #marketingtips

    What Are You Selling?…

…And who are you selling to? That should be the question on every marketers mind, at all times. It actually doesn’t matter if you are selling houses or makeup, a plumber or business consultancy, what matters is how you are selling it and to whom. How? Do you live, breath and dream what you are selling? If not, it probably won’t sell (as well). Good marketing comes from ‘being’ the consumer. Being able to write a story that you relate to and believing the story you are telling

To mute or ot to mute that is the question..

Well, not really. My question is actually, What is the point of mute on Twitter?’ As far as I can see, you are still following that person, you can still interact with that person but instead, if you mute them you just don’t see their tweets. Ok – they don’t know this right? So what’s the big deal?… Isn’t that like saying ‘You bore me’ or ‘I need to follow you (for whatever reason) but really not interested in what you have to say’ or ‘I want you to follow me, but I’m not bot

The Insecurities of a Serial Marketer…

I can’t think of anything that’s been done before has that been done before? am i experienced enough? everyone else would do a better job than me everyone else would have better ideas than me who would be more creative? who is more connected than me? is there something I’m missing? will I make a fool of myself? do they think I’m crazy, stupid, rubbish? what happens if I don’t make it work? am I not good enough? that’s brilliant, I would have never thought of that can I stay o

Stop Wasting Money on Bad Marketing

Just like knowing where you are heading in life, it pays to know what you need for your business and you will eventually save thousands of pounds if you know the following: Your product, service or business is the best it can be You have a solid brand strategy, mission and vision You know who your competitors are and what they are doing right (and wrong) You know the demographics of who you are targeting very well You know where these people hang out online and what they do t

If I could bottle this feeling…

I’d be a darn site richer than I am now. But think about this for a second. There is something unbelievably sexy about waiting for someone on a date right? Feeling good about yourself and anticipating their arrival. You know that feeling when butterflies are bouncing around your tummy and you can’t wipe that inane grin off your face? It’s wonderful! Anything could happen, you’re open, ready, willing and able. Think marketing. Think customer engagement. If you are working out

Keep the Customer in a Place of Choice

Always. Marketing has changed. This has been documented time and time again. Seth Godin is the innovator and calls it Permission Marketing. He teaches you to stop interrupting people. To stop boring them with stuff they are not interested in and replace the old style of marketing with the new. The new is better. The new is proven to work. The new is exciting, happening and free. The customer is always right but has the power. The power to choose what she listens to, what she

    Exercise Your Online Smile

Picture this. You’re sat in your friends front room with a coffee and they are reminiscing on their recent holiday. Where they stayed, what they ate, who they met, what they liked and disliked. If you’re lucky enough, you may get to sit through a tirade of holiday snaps. Ahem. Smile cemented, eyes bright, cheeks slightly achy, you sound interested, ask an appropriate question every now and then and compliment them no end on what a lovely time they must have had. This doesn’t

    Who’s Ruling Your Twitter Roost?

Have you checked whether the person you think you’re following is who he or she says she is? So often now, are professional social media managers at the helm of our favourite brands and follows. Having done this myself for clients, one wonders ‘are they being told what to say or regurgitating what they think is best?’. The real question; would YOU answer that question in that way? i.e: Is the voice of your brand being true to your brand? I can’t see how it would unless you a

    Look Further…

You could live on a small Island for years and still come across the undiscovered if you open your eyes and really see. How many times have you taken pictures of somewhere when you’re away to show your friends where you’ve been? Let me guess, ‘this is the view’ ‘this is the bedroom’…’check out what I ate for dinner’! That’s OK..but have you given a thought to your poor friend who has to look through these images?…How many of you would actually take photos of elements of your
