25 years ago Sir Jazzie B OBE and the legendary voice of Caron Wheeler formulated the 80s sound system combining reggae, house, soul and disco to create the unmistakable sound of Soul II Soul and we are ecstatic to announce this legendary union will be joining the Margate Soul Festival for 2016.

The multi-talented Snowboy, Afro-Cuban percussionist, bandleader and DJ will be bringing the vibes of the South London Soul Train to Margate this summer.

Margate Soul Festival is the Kent’s signature soul music festival held in and around the picturesque Margate Harbour with a huge outdoor arena overlooking the sea at the rear of the iconic Turner Contemporary Gallery.

Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year it will offer a unique combination of ticketed large-scale outdoor live shows, free family friendly street performances, DJ led carnival street parties and the most eclectic mix of club night life starting at 8pm. The event is spread across multiple venues, situated around the Harbour including 7 venues catering for a selection of musical tastes each with their own special atmosphere to create arguably the best soul inspired festival in the country.

Glamping has also been arranged at Hartsdown Academy and a free shuttle bus service will be running from Ramsgate & Minster To Margate.
